Be inspired by downtown NYC in the late 70s and early 80s as Madonna, Debbie Harry and artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring exploded out of the underground music, fashion and art scenes. Garment design mixes together elements of Buffalo styling with Basquiat-inspired prints and Haring’s early subway drawings. Fabric and styling reflect the thrift-store look of the time, with heavy boiled wool, broken cotton twill, abrasive-finish loopback jersey and flannel overlaid into bulky 80s oversized silhouettes.
